Our mission is clear: to close the industrial water cycle, enabling full water reusability. We envision a world where industrial processes no longer deplete freshwater resources but instead operate within a self-sustaining cycle of water use and reuse. We aim to transform wastewater from an environmental challenge into a valuable asset. At UrbanBlue, we are not just developing technology; we are fostering a movement towards a more sustainable and water-wise industry.

In bustling London, we met on a ClimateTech innovation program in 2023, and were united by a shared commitment to safeguarding Earth’s most vital resource through science-led technology.

Akash, having grown up near the once-beautiful Mithi River, witnessed firsthand the challenges and inefficiencies in water management and was driven to pursue microbiology and environmental science alongside computer vision, aiming to understand and combat the forces that threaten our waterways.

Our diverse backgrounds, blending deep technical expertise, commercial acumen and entrepreneurial spirit, became the foundation upon which UrbanBlue was built.
